Suprahard Barrels - 1986
Suprahard Barrel Disection
This worldwide patented process was developed in 1986.
This process creates a uniform case depth of 0.035 inch on average.
The uniform case hardness of Rockwell "C"60 is maintained to a minimum of 0.010 inch depth.
Its advantage is that the bulk of the barrel wall remains tough and ductile (HRC 22 max. as per NACE) to enhance its resistance to pumping and bending stresses as well as Sulfide Stress Cracking.
