PHOSPHATING

  • Hot caustic solution cleaning, cold rinse, second cold rinse, phosphating, cold rinse, and oiling
  • Aids in corrosion resistance prolonging shelf life (no effect on part dimensions)
  • Parts appear “gray” in color
  • Roughly 100 parts per batch (depending on size)
  • Complete cycle takes about ½ hour


STAMPING

  • Mathews Indent-A-Mark, model 2045
  • Stamping is a mechanical way of deforming a metal to produce a legible marking
  • Most of Quinn products are stamped
  • Identification of API 11AX, which conform to all their requirements are stamped with the API logo
  • Part numbers, work orders, date and country of origin are stamped on each part for traceability and easy identification
