Regional Manager - California
Wendell Mortensen

|
Wendell Mortensen started working in the Ventura, CA pump shop for Axelson in 1981. After working 12 years in the shop, he took on various positions in sales and management and in 1995 became District Manager until Halliburton purchased Axelson in 1998, and was put in charge of materials globally. In 2001, Halliburton sold Axelson to Weatherford and was offered a position working overseas which wouldn’t work for Wendell’s family so he took a job at CDI as Technical Services Manager in the West Coast and the Rockies and in 2002, went to work for Quinn Pumps.
Wendell started Quinn Pumps in California with one other person starting from the absolute ground up with no computers, inventory, shop, or customers. Wendell did have confidence in Quinn’s quality though, so he was certain Quinn could succeed in California. In a short time, Ventura was a functioning shop with good sales and over the next 5 years opened up additional shops in Taft, Santa Maria, and Bakersfield. Sales have increased dramatically every year. Wendell is now managing all four shops in California as our California Regional Manager and has contributed much of our success due to his desire and passion to succeed in everything he does.
