A dual reciprocating rod pump system that allows
oil and water to separate due to gravity in the wellbore and then
pumps an oil rich stream to surface while disposing of the majority
of the produced water downhole.
Benefits
-significantly reduced water handling costs
-power savings & reduced green house gases
-incremental oil production with existing production equipment
-reduced surface facilities corrosion
Features
-high percentage of standard pump parts.
-patented and proven Positive Seal Ring Standing Valve (PSRSV)
for the top pump.
-all other valving is traditional sucker rod pump configuration.
-dispose of water on the upstroke eliminating the need for sinker
bars and the inherent limitations of a "pump down" configuration.
-downstroke "dead time" enhances wellbore gravity separation.
-top pump is insert (or TH) design that can be retrieved with
sucker rods.
-all rod seals are part of top pump and retrievable with rods.
-flexibility of pump sizing to maximize oil production and minimize
water production to surface.
-on/off tool "hanger" on bottom pump eliminates spacing
problems.
